Valentines’ money raiser heart cakes

We’re getting the feeling that more of you are thinking about Valentines’ Day than ever before.  From chocolate hearts to heart-shaped cheese to wine and food for that romantic meal, it seems that lockdown has made you all pretty romantic!

So we thought we’d get in the spirit of things think of even more heart themed foods  and things to do.

All proceeds for these red velvet heart shaped cakes will go to 91 Ways

They will be available from Thursday and there will be a limited amount, so better be quick!

Charity, our amazing baker has created some individual heart shaped red velvet cakes that are absolutely stunning.  They’ll be available in the deli from Thursday 11th February and as love is in the air, we thought we’d spread the love a bit further by donating the money to  Bristol charity 91 Ways.

91 Ways set out to bring together all cultures in Bristol (there are at least  91 languages spoken in the city) through food.  With supper club fund raisers and donations, they have taught cooking skills to groups of people in the city that might normally go under the radar. They have also been organising a food bank in St Pauls during the Pandemic.

You can order gourmet frozen meals for two – choose from lasagne, aubergine parmigiana, lamb tagine, veggie tagine, chicken with chorizo and chickpeas and follow up with bread and butter pudding, apple and rhubarb crumble or chocolate fudge pudding.
